Crystal

After the Niodes, Crystal is the second most important resource in Mecha Galaxy.

The standard quality mechs are in their majority built with a special crystal, used to build their gigantic structures, equipment and weapons, within other components as Ferrite and Bioptics.

The Crystal is an advanced compost of processed mineral crystallized structures that the Mech technology Manufacturers and Companies use to create several components in the build of the Mech Technology.
While not excelling in this as much as the Niodes do, Crystals can be used as well as battery store of energy or data, and many other components as to process the ferrite, becoming one of the most frequently used resource to create the mech technology.
 
The cristal farms:

 
The Crystal is harvested in “Crystal Farms” while the synthetic mineral structure can grow under optimal conditions in several environments along the Galaxy.

The second most frequent way to acquire crystal is recycling the resources of the salvages or cannibalizing the fallen enemy Mechs.

Uses for crystal:
  1. Acquiring Crystal Mechs.
  2. Acquiring Crystal Equipment
  3. Acquiring Crystal Weapons
  4. Trading to increase your Ferrite and Bioptics reserves.

 Trade crystal into Ferrite & Bioptics:

When your reserves of ferrite and / or bioptics were low, you can buy by bulks (a lot of five pieces) any crystal weapon, and then sell them to get all the three standard reserves in return (Some crystals back, ferrite and bioptics)

The amount you get back is 1/3 from what you may need to buy that item.


The “trick” here is that buying in bulks only requires crystal, but selling back the weapons you got in the bulk, will give you also Ferrite and Bioptics.


 TIPS:

Fury Lasers pays the higher amount of Ferrite and Bioptics than any other weapon and is available since the lower levels.

Envelopers (Ice weapon min level 41 to buy) pay worse, but are a very good option to higher levels looking to save clicks and avoid the metacarpal tunnel syndrome.

  1. CRYSTAL FARMS
Every Pilot has access to a crystal farm where periodically the crystal veins grow offering an important resource of crystal to supply your Mechs reparations and gear needs.

Your storage can keep up to 40 crystals before stops production.
You can keep harvesting your own farm as supporting the harvest of your allied pilots’ farms, getting a small fee in the process as gratitude.


 TIPS:
  •  If you play through Facebook, it is advised that you let your friends harvest the crystal for you, as that way they can also send you an extra 5 crystal seed gift.
  • If you play through mechagalaxy.com, you won’t be allowed to have other player allies, so you should keep harvesting your own crystal farm as much as possible to keep getting all the possible crystal from it.
2. CRYSTAL SEED GIFTS 

Allied pilots (friended) can send crystal seeds that pays for 5 additional crystal into your reserves.
The more friends you had, highest chances to receive and send crystal sedes.
Up to ten can be daily used releasing up to 50 crystal into your reserves. 

3. CIRCUITS

Every time you joined a Circuit (Battles/ Circuit Fights) you will be immediately rewarded with 10 crystals (and 2 Niodes).
Participation in the circuit will also give you an amount of crystal equal to double the energy spent.
Each fight there increases in a cumulative way the required energy, so also the rewarded crystal does in double proportion.
Entering a Circuit pays you 10 Crystal and 2 Niodes immediately on entry.
Each fight won pays crystal equal to double the energy spent.

2 Crystal & 1 XP

 Your Second Fight
 Cost: 3 Energy
 Reward (on win):
6 Crystal & 3 XP

 Your Third Fight
 Cost: 5 Energy
 Reward (on win):
10 Crystal & 5 XP

…

Your last Fight (In a circuit with 45 participants)
 Cost: 63 Energy
 Reward (on win):
126 Crystal & 63 XP

 TIPS:
  • If you are not worried for the experience you will get through the circuit (as much experience points as energy used on successful fights), you should attack to all the participants in the circuit to acquire all the possible crystal.
    Start attacking those who can defeat you, wasting the minor energy cost on them, as it increases making you require a higher amount of energy, and thus, getting more experience and double crystal, attack those who you could defeat, leaving for the last targets those you can beat with all security.

4. RETRO FEED

You can scrap (sell) any of the crystal quality items you may receive from the Raid drops and Clan War or Faction War prizes with crystal quality that you may receive.
Usually, you will receive 1/3 of the crystal that scrapped item requires to be bought in the Mechs and Gear shop.
Keep in mind that Niode quality Mechs and gear won’t give you any crystal, but Niodes instead, and vice versa, crystal stuff won’t never pay Niodes selling them.

 5. EVENTS

There are some occasional events in special seasons like Xmas or the MG Anniversary, in which special features are made allowing to the players to grab gifts, Mechs, gears and resources.
